Fantastic safari 1-night stop-over

After our first 1-night stop-over in Arusha on our 8-day Serengeti wildebeest migration safari, our second stop-over was at Lake Manyara Serena Safari lodge situated on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, also for just 1-night.
Our traditional “rondavel” cottage with a comfortable king size bed, and an additional spare bed, was spacious and clean, with an en-suite bathroom and shower. Our room also had its own private balcony with lovely views of the property and the valley below.
The property is extremely neat and well maintained with spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley and the large Manyara lake. The authentic African-styled lodge has appealing facilities with a Maasai culture decor, including a lounge, bar, dining, and outside terrace area. There is also an impressive rim-flow swimming pool with a pool deck and bar.
The staff were very friendly and efficient, ensuring that we were well looked after at all times. The food was superb, and our specific dietary needs were well catered for.
The delicious food was complemented with the local beers including Kilimanjaro, Safari, and Serengeti, all of which were very good.
Overall, it was a fantastic 1-night stop-over.

Thank you

This is a beautiful place with great food but most importantly the staff are incredible.
Our son wasn’t well when we arrived and got worse not long after. The manager, chef and all waiters were so keen to help,
I couldn’t be more grateful and would highly recommend.
Special mention for our “Ranger Safaris” guide Udo ( hope I have spelt that right) - great guide , but really helped us at every point.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge: A Serene and Luxurious Safari Stay

Our honeymoon at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge was a remarkable experience. The lodge's scenic beauty, coupled with the comfort and luxury it offered, made our stay truly unforgettable.

Location and First Impressions
Nestled amidst the natural beauty of Tanzania, the lodge has a stunning view of Lake Manyara, a serene backdrop that welcomed us upon arrival. The tranquil atmosphere during our stay provided a perfect escape.

Room and Facilities
Our room, though cozy, offered a beautiful balcony view and essential amenities. Super clean too, and the bathroom was spot-on with a hot shower always ready. It was just like what we saw online, plus the room service folks were on point.

Wildlife and Activities
During our stay, we explored the nearby parks. Although it was quite hot and animal sightings were somewhat limited, we saw one leopard and a number of elephants. Moreover, the lodge's surroundings were abundant in monkeys and offered excellent opportunities for bird watching.

Dining
The food at the lodge was delightful. With fewer guests during our stay, we enjoyed personalized table service, adding a touch of exclusivity to our dining experience. The buffet-style breakfast and dinner were exquisite, with staff members always eager to assist and ensure a pleasant meal.

Service and Amenities
The service at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge was exceptional. The staff's attentiveness and hospitality were evident from our seamless check-in to the effortless checkout process. Internet was pretty good and we were able to stay connected throughout the trip.
