Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our Representative and transfer to the newly refurbished Nairobi Serena Hotel. The Nairobi Serena Hotel The flagship of Serena Hotels, is newly refurbished with renovated guest rooms, new facilities including an Executive Lounge, banqueting and meeting rooms and a new Asian fusion restaurant that is an addition to the elegant Mandhari restaurant for fine dining and the Café Maghreb, the all-day restaurant. Other facilities include the Maisha (which means 'life' in Swahili) Health Club and Spa, and Aksum, the Ethiopian themed bar. Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Elmenteita

After breakfast in the Hotel, check-out and drive to Soysambu Wildlife conservancy. Enjoy magnificent views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment en-route to arrive in the early afternoon for check-in and lunch.

Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp "Where history meets the wild kingdom"

Uniquely situated on the shoreline of sapphire-blue Lake Elmenteita where hundreds of thousands of birds congregate, is the small and exclusive Camp. This area of breathtaking beauty, is also home to many rare species of animals.

Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy a swim in the camp’s affinity pool overlooking the lake! Other optional activities available in the camp include: - Water Colour painting, Recurve Target Archery activities, Jogging/Walking, Horse riding, Sundowners, swimming among others.

16:00hrs enjoy game viewing drives in the conservancy. The Conservancy protects over 450 bird species and 15,000 wild animals. Rothschild giraffes have found a safe haven for breeding here, while a diverse variety of terrain shelters many species - from herds of giant elands to tiny dik-diks and cliff-dwelling klipspringers.
This evening enjoy a sundowner Cocktail up the cliff overlooking the lake and from where you can see the pelicans and flamingos from a vantage point. Buffaloes also love to graze along the lake shore below.

Day 3: Lake Elmenteita to Masai Mara

Breakfast in the Camp. Later depart and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve to arrive at your lodge, Mara Serena Safari Lodge in the early afternoon for check-in.

Perched on the saddle of a hill, the Lodge has one of the most spectacular views imaginable across the vast plains, forests and rivers that make up the Masai Mara – one of the world’s richest wildlife sanctuaries.

Lunch in the lodge followed by an afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities that include: - Maisha Health Club and Spa featuring an exciting spa menu, steam, sauna and gymnasium to experience tranquility and good health whilst on safari, a swimming pool and a terrace that gives you sweeping views of the of the expansive Masai Mara plains.

16:00hrs Depart for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, charge the batteries and enjoy yourself!

18:00hrs Return to the lodge to refresh for dinner.

Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game viewing drives daily in the Reserve. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. This 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere considering its size.

Hippo Pool Breakfast

This morning, crown your game viewing experience with a “Bush Breakfast” by the Mara River Hippo Pools! One cannot resist the charming “Jambo” from the chefs and Masai warriors as they welcome you to our wonderfully set breakfast buffet of cold cuts, fruits, cereals and hot dishes with eggs made to your specifications as you wait. The hippos keep you company and only say “Kwaheri” (good bye) after you have had enough.

Day 5 – Masai Mara to Nairobi & Departure

08.00hrs, after breakfast in the lodge, check out and drive to Nairobi City to arrive at Nairobi Serena Hotel in time for lunch in the Café Maghreb Restaurant compliment of Serena Hotels. Later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home bound flight.
